Teaching and Learning Connected works with districts to custom design professional development that meets their adult learners’ unique needs.  Each of the offerings ooutlined in  the sample flyers can be tailored specifically to meet your district, school, business or group goals.  In addition, if there is an area that is not listed on the  flyers for which you are interested in providing professional development, please ccntact Teaching and Learning Connected to see how we might work specifically with you.

Assessing Student Learning

This session is designed to provide educators with the opportunity to examine what assessment truly is and the wide variety of ways to get the “big picture” about student learning.

Building Leadership

“What role does leadership have in bringing about success?” We are discovering that it does indeed play a very important role. This session will examine the research that identifies key areas of effective leadership, using the metaphor of a jazz band.

Cats and Dogs

Knowing how to recognize the perspective from which team members operate allows leaders to select the appropriate strategies to foster and maintain positive and successful relationships with team members.

Enhancing Student Success in the Library Media Center

Looking to reverse the trend of school librarians being excluded from professional development opportunities, this session affords them the chance to learn collaboratively with colleagues working in other classrooms.


Based on the theory of instruction, this session establishes a common body of knowledge that is the foundation for an understanding that the teacher and his or her decisions are the keys to effective instruction.


These sessions have been created to introduce and help teachers integrate the pedagogy and methodology behind helping students become more proficient, positive and productive about their mathematical abilities.

Multiple Intelligences

Educators are paying more attention to the rich, diverse ways that students learn.  Targeted at all grade levels and content areas, this session will explore all eight of the multiple intelligences and focus on a variety of activities that address BOTH learning standards AND the variety of learners in our schools.


This PD session is designed to provide educators with research and information about the importance of intentionally incorporating high-quality questions into curriculum, instruction and assessment.

True Colors

Knowing about self and others leads more constructive communication and greater success in work.  Attendees at a True Colors® session will acquire the necessary skills and tools that lead to effective teamwork.
